Via Twitter, Sony Pictures has set May 6, 2011 as a release date for Spider-Man 4. So now that the Watchmen complaining is officially over, we can start fresh on Spidey-Bemoaning: Lizard vs. Kraven, kill off or don’t kill off Mary Jane, heart or hate Sam Raimi, and so on…

How about one villain this time? And maybe, just maybe, could they please make it less than two hours long? I do wonder if they are going to go ‘dark and gritty’ just like TDK?

@Scott: terrific ideas, but I wouldn’t want it TDK-gritty. Doesn’t fit the character. Hopefully Marvel will let Raimi be Raimi and not force major plot, villains and stupidity down the movie’s throat.
