Mildly amusing movie still juxtaposition #10.

Yeah, I know: I did one of these for Knowing last time.
But I just found something a bit strange and comical about these two stills, exclusively® released to /film today, one of which shows a worried-looking Nicolas Cage running, wearing a black t-shirt under a grey button-down and the other, which shows a worried-looking Nicolas Cage running, wearing a grey t-shirt under a black button-down. Yes: these are the kinds of things that amuse me.
Perhaps Knowing has something to say about duality, our inner struggle, our sense of chasing and being chased, and the binary nature of man’s inner conflict. Or maybe it’s just another crappy Cage non-thriller that will come and go quietly on March 20th.

Very astute observation. Why does Cage get to keep making these crappy movies. There was that one about stopping time or something like that, which was supposed to be a thriller/action and wasn’t. There was Bangkok Dangerous, which was ridiculous. I mean his relation to Francis Ford Coppola can’t still be holding him in the business. I like the guy and have found many of his movies compelling. He definitely has a niche acting style that a lot of people like, but he makes more terrible movies than any other A-lister out there.

You, of course. Cage is perfectly normal in comparison to the likes of you.

@Ray: this from the man who draws dialogue bubbles on movie screengrabs.
As you say, “perfectly normal”.

This went from mildly amusing to painfully annoying in the three weeks it has been sitting on the front page of this website.
