Okay, now I’ll just admit that I’m trying to freshen up my sidebar a little. But this is a nifty piece of Batman-themed editing:
4.15.2009SHOCKING news: As reported by Michael Bay, a recent screening of the new Michael Bay movie which included Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay went great!
Not only did the director of Crystal Skull find Michael Bay’s movie to be “awesome”, but in Michael Bay’s opinion, Spielberg might even feel that the movie is perhaps Michael Bay’s best. Awesome news for Michael Bay fans of Michael Bay movies! (2)
3.25.2009Oh I do so love this mash-up.
As the swell folks at Film School Rejects wisely point out, it’s a far better effort than simply matching audio from Movie A to the trailer of Movie B. The creator here truly puts feeling and meaning to this, draws parallels between the movies’ themes, is drawing a compelling analogy, etc. What a terrific piece. (0)
3.12.2009Via Twitter, Sony Pictures has set May 6, 2011 as a release date for Spider-Man 4. So now that the Watchmen complaining is officially over, we can start fresh on Spidey-Bemoaning: Lizard vs. Kraven, kill off or don’t kill off Mary Jane, heart or hate Sam Raimi, and so on…

2.5.2009There seem to be few limitations on the heights of inspiration found at Robot Chicken.

I saw this somewhere else already. But I can’t remember where.

It’s possible that it might have been everywhere. I tend to be a bit behind the curve on such things.

Jeez, who has the time for these things.

Agreed, Piper. When we got our new computer with Windows Movie Maker software on it, I told my wife I’d never leave the house again. But the truth is that doing this kind of stuff really eats up time. It’s fun as hell, but hard to convince the family it’s worth spending every night working on it.
Still, the folks at black20.com who made this have a nifty little stable of movie parody trailers. They trend toward the overly silly, but are usually worth a chuckle or two.
