Time Warner is expected to announce that New Line Cinema will soon become a part of Warner Bros. /film looks like the first site to run this news, including a letter to employees from New Line bigwigs Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne. Really, though, New Liners shouldn’t fear for their jobs; if the studio is anything like its iconic villain Freddy Krueger, the company should be able to readily bounce back to life following any number of burnings, stabbings, decapitations, exorcisms and corporate buyouts.
Not only did the director of Crystal Skull find Michael Bay’s movie to be “awesome”, but in Michael Bay’s opinion, Spielberg might even feel that the movie is perhaps Michael Bay’s best. Awesome news for Michael Bay fans of Michael Bay movies! (
