Here’s at least one one-sheet designer who has Taken liberties.

Wow, but that is one terrible Photoshop job on the face of Liam Neeson on the one-sheet for the upcoming kidnapping thriller Taken. Go take a look at Obsessed With Film where Matt shares the crappy poster and so-so trailer. Neeson plays a revenge-thirsty father whose 17-year-old daughter is kidnapped in France, but seeing the way they’ve designed the one-sheet it appears as though they’re trying to position Neeson a bit more like this.

Dedicated screenwriting 101 here: From an interview with Harrison Ford on the MTV Movies Blog in which the inevitability of another Indiana Jones movie is mentioned:
How do I get out of this? I love going to the movies with my boys, opening up their minds to the great pleasures of cinema and all that, but this is a hard one. Please help me: do I suck it up and just go, or can anyone out there provide me with a plausible, kind-hearted, permanent way out? (

I dont know what hole you come from, but this could actually be a big hit for him, just why did you have to make bitchy remarks like this give the guy a chance eh ? Have you not heard of the phrase benefit of the doubt eh or is this not part of you vocabularly ?

Karen: I’m not sure what “him” you’re referring to. If you’re talking about Liam Neeson, read the post again. I don’t say a single thing about his talent or how good the movie will be; in fact, I’d love for him to have a big hit. There are a few moments in the trailer I link to above where Neeson comes across quite well.
My point is about whoever designed this one-sheet, because they did a hatchet job on Neeson’s image. What’s more, some marketing genius likely told that poster designer “Hey, make it look like that Bond poster ’cause then people will want to see our movie.” If I’m being bitchy, it’s because movie marketing people bring that out in me whenever they think that I’m too stupid to make a movie-watching decision on my own without referencing every other like-minded movie that has made money.
And I’d suggest you click on the “About” tab at the top of this page if you’d like to know what hole I come from.
