I am not the “limited” in “limited release”.

I moved away from Hollywood a little less than 11 years ago, but I’ll tell you right now one of the things I still miss the most: being included in “limited release” dates. Living in L.A., this is never an issue: “limited release” includes you. But now, if I have hopes to see something like No Country For Old Men, I have to wait and wait and wait - and, if the movie doesn’t do well in limited release, it might never make it to my neighborhood. NCFOM is scheduled to hit my multiplex on November 21st.

Dedicated screenwriting 101 here: From an interview with Harrison Ford on the MTV Movies Blog in which the inevitability of another Indiana Jones movie is mentioned:
How do I get out of this? I love going to the movies with my boys, opening up their minds to the great pleasures of cinema and all that, but this is a hard one. Please help me: do I suck it up and just go, or can anyone out there provide me with a plausible, kind-hearted, permanent way out? (

Not having to wait for No Country for Old Men made the frequent pain and suffering of my last 10 years in L.A. totally worthwhile.
This isn’t another anti L.A. rant, if I didn’t like the place I’d leave, I’m just saying.

If you’re going to be in pain and suffering, cj, there are certainly worse places to do it than L.A.

Like the OC! Ah well, it’s 80 degrees today, 70 at the beaches. That’s worth some suffering, for sure.
