Would you like to play a game?

This isn’t a meme and it’s not a blogathon – yet it certainly owes its conventions to both of those. What I’d like to suggest here is to play a little game of something similar to what used to be called “Telephone“.
And what the hell, let’s call it Blogophone.
Here’s the idea: there will be a message at the end of this post. It may be informed or true or speculation or rumor or none of those things. It will simply be a statement of some kind, and I’m going to pass it along to a single blogger.
If you’re that blogger, your task is simple. Take my message and repeat it. Cut-and-paste it if you like, without comment.
Or go ahead and comment. Expand the idea. Add a phrase or an adjective or simply a comma – and change its meaning. Write an entire post on it or write nothing at all.
But you’ve got to do three things:
- At the bottom of your post, include your version of the statement, changed or not.
- Pass it along to one single blogger.
- Link your post back to mine here.
After a week or so if the string goes anywhere, I’ll post a progress update and link to everyone who plays along.
Ready? Here’s the message:
In Live Free Or Die Hard, Len Wiseman shows more respect and understanding of his source material than that shown by Transformers director Michael Bay. Therefore, Wiseman is a better filmmaker than Bay.

I have blogophoned someone else and interpreted your message. Check it out.

Jesus. Have you seen where this is thing is going. I have really fucked up a good idea here. Please, please, please tell me you’re going to do this again and pick someone more mature.

Yeah, it’s becoming increasingly surreal, Piper, so thanks for that!
I had no idea what would happen to it, so it’s nice to see something unexpected. Maybe it’ll circle back to movies somehow, we’ll just have to wait and see.
I’ll probably try it again, but I certainly wouldn’t rule out sending it your way at some point!
