The Rec wants to know your summer movie tournament picks.

Once again, I’ve been startled out of my self-induced blogging malaise by something wonderful, shocking and/or disturbing.
Last week, Ray at the simply delightful blog The Rec posted a very clever contest in which he’s soliciting your picks for this summer’s movie box office champions via NCAA-like tournament brackets. What a frigging great idea! Here are Burbanked’s humble and not at all scientific picks:
Obviously, I think Spidey 3 is going to be the big slugger this summer, but I also believe that Ratatouille is going to signify a return to Pixar’s domination after the less-impressive showing of Cars.
But another interesting thing: Ray’s contest is so clever and innovative, it shouldn’t be at all shocking that my hometown newspaper and relentlessly OM relic The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has absolutely and shamelessly ripped off his idea! I’m not an overly litigious guy, but if you’re reading this, Ray, I say take ‘em for all they’re worth. And when you take ownership of the PG, do me a favor and get them to stop calling me four times a week, okay?
