Coming soon to a face near you: Jon Bon Jovi aftershave!
By Burbanked on Feb 21, 2007 in Blogging, Celebrities, Movies, Off the Rails, The Oscars | 1,820 views |
News comes today that rock-and-roller/fledgling actor Jon Bon Jovi has plans to launch his own aftershave. He’ll donate some of the money made from the new scent to charities in the U.S. I’ve already seen suggestions that the aftershave could be named Livin’ On A Sprayer or perhaps Wanted Dead or Aromatic, but - seeing as this here’s a movie site and all - I’ll go with Bon Jovi’s most prominent movie role (pictured above) and name the new scent Ewww571.
Attention, movie bloggers! Tired of endless Oscar coverage? Can’t stand seeing yet another prediction, review, top-whatever list or round-up? Then join Burbanked in my first annual Oscar Blog Dump going on all this week and likely into next! When you see the icon on the left, that means that this post has been created expressly for the reason that it bears absolutely no connection whatsoever to the Oscars airing this Sunday!
Because I love the freaking bejesus out of the Oscars, but I’m getting a bit numb to all the coverage.
If you feel like I do, post a non-Oscar story this week or next and let Burbanked know about it! I’ll collect all of your links and run a retrospective some time next week. It’s kind of like a blog-a-thon without the planning, organization or overall good sense. Feel free to even borrow the “Oscar Dump” icon above for your site if you want! Simply e-mail me a link to your defiantly non-Oscar story, or leave it in the comments below.

Dedicated screenwriting 101 here: From an interview with Harrison Ford on the MTV Movies Blog in which the inevitability of another Indiana Jones movie is mentioned:
How do I get out of this? I love going to the movies with my boys, opening up their minds to the great pleasures of cinema and all that, but this is a hard one. Please help me: do I suck it up and just go, or can anyone out there provide me with a plausible, kind-hearted, permanent way out? (
