The Transformer fans are not happy with Burbanked.

Apparently my post begging Hugo Weaving to take himself out of the running for a voiceover part in The Transformers movie has riled up legions of fans of Bay, Optimus, Megatron, Starscreamer and all of the rest.
And good golly, but it is some seriously funny stuff.
READ! the myriad of names that people are calling me, including profanities!
WITNESS! the levels of personal bodily harm that some would inflict upon me!
BE AMAZED! at how very seriously they take this subject and how utterly without irony some of them refer to me as an elitist fanboy and then, within the span of a sentence or two, refer to Megatron and the rest as “iconic characters”.
If you’re a fan of vitriolic rhetoric and the joy of immature verbal smackdowns, go take a look:
- Here’s a forum thread on Michael Bay’s own Web site
- And here’s the one where they REALLY get nasty, courtesy of producer Don Murphy’s message boards
There’s nothing like some good old-fashioned Internet hate to make a little blogger’s heart burst with pride.

Heh, this reminds me of the hate mail I received from militant, racist Asian men who were mad at me for a post I wrote about why you see more Asian girls tend to date White guys more often than you see Asian guys dating White girls. I believe the words “sellout”, “ignorant”, “traitor”, and “bitch” were in their comments somewhere

it’s not that bad in the DM… was that supposed to be a hyperbole? I don’t get it.

forgot to say, the crazed posters may be the most vocal, but certainly do not represent what the majority of us are like.

Your link to the Bay site doesn’t work. I typed in http://www.patheticdouchebags.com, and the site opened right up.
