Finally, NBC goes after a Predator who doesn’t back down.

It seems a little strange, doesn’t it, that people are creating parodies and making light of something so disturbing as men who prey on young children on the Internet?

Today’s Moment of Moral Indignation has been brought to you by Dr. Pepper! Wouldn’t you like to be a Pepper, too?

And now, onto the pop culturey goodness!

Here’s the direct link to To Catch THE Predator on ifilm.com.

That was just plain wrong–because the animators chose to create a rather weak, deflated version of The Predator. Shouldn’t he really be drawn as a self-righteous, Bible-thumpin’, dittoeheaded SOB–you know, the kind whose supporters later show up on Fox and claim he was lured into it by the kid or the devil? Instead of blowing up the joint at the end, maybe he should just check himself into rehab and blame the whole thing on booze. Oh hell, maybe they should have added a now-saggy Schwarzenegger to drop a tree trunk on his “ugly motherf****r” head.

    Not amusing.

Sorry if you didn’t see the humor in the video, D, but there’s really no shortage of “To Catch a Predator” parodies out there – last year’s Conan O’Brien Emmy opener first springs to mind.

Unless, of course, you’re critiquing Sulu’s comment in which case I’d probably agree :)
