Over at Celluloid & Vinyl they’ve got large, lovely versions of two new one-sheets for Spider-Man 3 that play up the “battle within”/duality theme of next summer’s biggest movie. They’re great posters, although I don’t really understand why the red-and-blue-Spidey-in-front version is so much darker than the other one. The version with the black-suit Spidey in front dovetails nicely not only into previous teaser posters for this sequel, but also for SM and SM2 – so why the difference?
Those wacky movie marketers. We’re still a good six months from release day, so I have to wonder how many more of these we’ll see before show time. Hopefully Sony is planning to stay along these theme lines and not resort to TMHOP Syndrome.
Take a look at the black-suit-Spidey version, and follow a link to both versions in massive hi-res form, after the jump.
Here’s the full, very, very cool poster:

Not only did the director of Crystal Skull find Michael Bay’s movie to be “awesome”, but in Michael Bay’s opinion, Spielberg might even feel that the movie is perhaps Michael Bay’s best. Awesome news for Michael Bay fans of Michael Bay movies! (
