Over at Celluloid & Vinyl they’ve got large, lovely versions of two new one-sheets for Spider-Man 3 that play up the “battle within”/duality theme of next summer’s biggest movie. They’re great posters, although I don’t really understand why the red-and-blue-Spidey-in-front version is so much darker than the other one. The version with the black-suit Spidey in front dovetails nicely not only into previous teaser posters for this sequel, but also for SM and SM2 - so why the difference?
Those wacky movie marketers. We’re still a good six months from release day, so I have to wonder how many more of these we’ll see before show time. Hopefully Sony is planning to stay along these theme lines and not resort to TMHOP Syndrome.
Take a look at the black-suit-Spidey version, and follow a link to both versions in massive hi-res form, after the jump.
Here’s the full, very, very cool poster:

Dedicated screenwriting 101 here: From an interview with Harrison Ford on the MTV Movies Blog in which the inevitability of another Indiana Jones movie is mentioned:
How do I get out of this? I love going to the movies with my boys, opening up their minds to the great pleasures of cinema and all that, but this is a hard one. Please help me: do I suck it up and just go, or can anyone out there provide me with a plausible, kind-hearted, permanent way out? (
