Monty Python Day - where there’s little difference between “parody” and “tribute”.

It’s easy to imagine that without Flying Circus there would have been no South Park. From Gilliam’s crude cutout animation to the self-aware and irreverent social satire of Chapman, Cleese and the rest, South Park is clearly a direct Python descendant. Sure, it’s more blunt, crude and relentless, but those are also the qualities that make SP such a wonderfully American addition to the genre.
So it’s really no surprise that Parker and Stone created a direct South Park tribute to MP in this bit that follows, right down to its break-the-fourth-wall, off-the-rails ending:
