You may think that it’s too late to capitalize on this year’s Oscar race, but in this day and age of on-the-fly indie filmmaking, you’ve got plenty of time to shoot your Soulful Human Drama With a Quirky Edge and get screeners out to all those Academy members who previously dismissed you as a “crackpot” or “pest” or “studio stalker”. All you need now is a good story to film.
