Who says Hollywood doesn’t favor strong women?

So why all the hubbub about there being no good news about strong women in Hollywood? Why, here the week is barely half-over and we’ve already learned some interesting bits of Barbra Streisand’s past and also that Nicole Kidman doesn’t have to come up with her own movie character; she can just mimic one that’s been successfully created already. By a man.
But what’s behind these strong women? What makes them tick and how have they come to their important places of prominence in Hollywood?
Heck, we don’t know. But Nathaniel at the Film Experience Blog has a pretty good idea. His excellent “A History of…” series focuses on Jodie Foster this week - from her Coppertone tanline all the way through her cannibal-chasing days and more.
Take a look at this series, including our favorite installment in which Film Experience reviews the plight of Julianne Moore’s on-screen children - poor little kids never had a chance.
