UPDATED! Sorry about this. Some unforeseen circumstances have stepped into the way of this evening’s Oscar live-bloggery. We apologize if you clicked all the way here and we’ve got nothing to share with you. But let us at least save you some searching:

The Oscar blog over at Defamer will likely be a blast.

And Cinematical will no doubt be running one as well.

And it looks like Rope of Silicon will have a running diary, too.

Anyway, sorry to disappoint. We’ll catch you again next week.

Just a quick reminder, Burbanked readers (you strong, silent few, you): we’ll be trying a grand experiment on Sunday’s Oscar show as we dip our toes into the chilly waters of live blogging the event. Tune in for our reactions, commentary, and perhaps a snarky remark or three.

A few things to keep in mind as you attend this auspicious occasion:

• Be kind and patient; we’re still relative newbies at this.
• Our live blogging efforts are at least partially contingent upon the health of the prairie dog pups whose little running legs power our connection hardware.
• We may begin during the preshow, maybe somewhere in the middle, maybe not at all. You can tune in if you like. Or not. (Ed. – in marketing, they call that a “soft sell”)
• If we pull this off, and if you check in periodically, we’ll do our very very best to entertain you. This is the Burbanked promise.
