Six degrees of…what, exactly?

Hey, film and pop culture fans - see if you can guess where this one is going. Now, you might think that what we’re suggesting below is just another silly variation on this bit of celebrity linking fun. And you’d be more or less correct - but we here at Burbanked like to think of ourselves as not just innovators of the Internets - but also as its cringing, sycophantic bootlickers. Either way, it’s all meant in good fun. It’s not like you were working right now, anyway.

On this day, February17th, let us first wish a “Happy Birthday” to Jerry O’Connell, star of both silver and small screens. Jerry is, of course, well known for his roles in such classics as Jerry Maguire, the TV hit Sliders and, well, Kangaroo Jack. Today Jerry is 32.
- Of course, you probably remember that Jerry’s first film role was in Stand By Me in which he costarred with Kiefer Sutherland.
- And Kiefer Sutherland starred as “Nelson” (Nelson?) in the Schumachian thriller Flatliners with the pre-Oscar-quality Julia Roberts.
- Julia Roberts went on to star in a movie that you didn’t see called Something to Talk About alongside career curmudgeon Robert Duvall.

And of course, Robert Duvall’s long and respected career includes The Godfather: Part II in which he costarred with Lee Strasberg, who left this world for good after a heart attack on this day, February 17th.
See how that works? From womb to tomb on the same day. Hollywood’s funny like that.

Dedicated screenwriting 101 here: From an interview with Harrison Ford on the MTV Movies Blog in which the inevitability of another Indiana Jones movie is mentioned:
How do I get out of this? I love going to the movies with my boys, opening up their minds to the great pleasures of cinema and all that, but this is a hard one. Please help me: do I suck it up and just go, or can anyone out there provide me with a plausible, kind-hearted, permanent way out? (
